Tairona, Colombia, CA 800- 1500 CE.
A gold avian figure, probably a toucan and a green stone bead probably from Central America. The shape of it posed a bit of a quandary for jewels as to how to make is wearable. Notice the addition of the pre Columbian green stone bead in rear. It’s a genius idea to hold the gold in place and remains in keeping with ancient material. We were thinking she might want to consider engineering as a second careet.
