An 18th century Islamic silver coin, very old and ancient Middle Eastern glass trade beads both gorgeous and sublime. The coin sparkles and the beads are bright white with remains of red, blue and black pigment. The patina and age are sublime. We hand wove the cord in between each bead to protect and elevate them.
The image on the model does show good color, but is merely for scale. Some of these have a beautiful glassy shine and whites are crisp.

A note about our woven cords. We weave these by hand, every one of them. Like all Jewels’ work no two are exact, as each of us. The work is labor intensive. When warmed to the skin the cord becomes more supple, conforms to the wearer, hangs at it should; the necklace transforms more than just a necklace. It becomes her or him.
