As textiles are a very important part of Chinese society so are the tools used to produce them. They all has aesthetic, practical and cultural value and why shouldn’t they?
It has been a long time since we have found these wonderful bone cases. This pair has a wonderful warm patina and the incised decorations are reminiscent of Klimt’s paintings. The silver square coin tops are Moroccan, 1130 -1250 CE.
