The central bead is an apple green glassy jade/green stone bead, pre-Columbian from Mexico or Central America, the color and luminescence so revered. The other beads are at least 200 years old, turquoise from Afghanistan. They are a very pale green, tricking the western eye as we do not normally think of turquoise this color or texture. They are however gorgeous! We wove our finest cord between each bead, elevating the elegance.
