Early 20th century, Tiznit, Souss-Massa Region, Morocco
The hollow silver and enamel beads of the Tiznit are very traditional. Maybe you’ve seen the fine collection in the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech?
The old ones with patina and wear like this one split for earrings, are few and far between. Truly. This pair is also the perfect size; they are not too big as these beads can be ginourmous and not too diminutive.
