19th – early 20th century, Tiznit, Southern Morocco
This bead was large, very large. It remains true to its origins, made to suit her, and yet we westerners won’t look like we’re trying too hard. We split it and made the hand wrought sterling bed. The necklace is elegant and modern. The bead is traditional enamel and silver work that goes back further than
the established Tiznit region and the chain is sterling.

A note about the silver. The pendant is a high grade silver and therefore shines and sparkle through the beloved patina. The photographer came woefully short of conveying the true beauty of it.
