Mid 20th century, Mexico
Very talented Mexican silversmiths and stone cutters were inspired by the incredible archaeological finds of Central America. The reproductions and designs inspired by the ancient sculptures of the Mezcala, Chontal and Olmec became a tradition in its own right. These earrings are a fine example of this tradition with fine cut glass and sterling. We put them on Jewels standard sterling post discs.
(Note: the amateur photo does not show the true, evenly translucent glass.)
