The “celt” is a misnomer, probably derived from the pieces similar in form found in the British Isles. These stone objects are found all over the world based on stone age hand tools but with no expected wear. They were most likely ceremonial as some, such as those from the Olmec regions of ancient Mexico(c. 1200 BCE), were found arranged in Stone Henge- like formations. This piece is smaller than most and it may have actually been a tool. It’s perfect for a man or woman.
