Early to mid 20th century, Morocco
This is a standard JEWELS design however she is now unable to find these amulets as easily as she did in the past. Each charm is unique, hand etched and stamped. We made the sterling chain and restored the charms with riveted sterling sheet, in Jewels’ signature way. The hamsa (khamsa) is a protective amulet, to ward off the evil eye (no cap necessary). One has blue glass set in the center for that extra protection against the evil eye.
To use language of the day, this necklace has become an Iconic Jewels’ piece.
NOTE: The photos are not professional. In fact, they may be misleading. The actual charms and chain are silver, sterling and they are silver in color as well. We’ve shown one image in black and white to be more consistent with the actual color.
