In many cultures shells are magical and especially beneficial to women, in particular among Tibetan and Berber groups. This beautiful shell was, faceted on the sides and worn so much you can see the extended hole. It’s the sort of amulet one wears a lifetime to then pass down to her daughter.
We have two, of course not identical.
