Early – mid 20th century, Morocco
Gorgeous traditional hand etched silver medallions she once wore in her headdress. We restored each with sterling sheet riveted to the back sides and made the hand wrought sterling chain in our Santa Fe studio. This beautiful and fine work is in keeping with the old and traditional work of the Amazigh people. If you’re not seated, touching and examining each in wonder, front and back, someone else is sure to be eyeing your neck!
The image shown on the model is a simlar version. The image showing the back side too is another similar piece whose image turned out to be better that the amateur photographer did for this piece.
On that note… about the silver, if it appears to have a red or yellow hue this is the fault of the photographer. The metal on this is high content silver, sterling and gorgeous.
