19th century and before.
The charm is Amazigh (Berber) from Morocco.  It is such a wonderful little charm that has incredible patina and wear.  The central set piece is either very opaque green glass, as is traditional, or a green stone.  True to the Amazigh spirit and tradition, we added value and beauty to the charm with a silver bezeled old (c. 10th century) Afghan or Indian bronze coin.  The chain is sterling. It is difficult to overstate the charm of this necklace.
