Early – mid 20th century, Morocco
“Wealthy” Berber families collect these higher carat gold amulets for their children’s dowries. Jewels collects them too and her Moroccan friends of over 30 years know it. So they come to her when they are ready. It’s a win-win. However they don’t come around that often anymore as these beauties are more scarce these days.
While the gold itself is universally appreciated, the hand etched details make these charms so special and wonderful as the tribal and ethnic qualities still shine.
