Rare Ida Ou Nadif Large Charm



Early 20th century, Ida ou Nadif, Souss-Massa region, Morocco, Northern Africa and the Sahel
Niello etched silver and and set glass are traditional piece of jewelry among these Berber people.  The shape and red glass serve as protective elements and fine jewelry like this charm also defines a woman’s wealth.  True to the Berber artist, Jewels added her hand worked silver beads where other charms were once hanging.  The chain is also our sterling work.
It’s bold but sophisticated with a solid shirt or dress.
