Early 20th century, Amazigh (Berber), Morocco, North Africa
A wonderful pair of charms, probably headdress or original earrings. The discs too are old Moroccan coins so worn and used the details are lost to time. We restored the charms with riveted sterling sheet as shown on the back side.
One of a kind
Average charm with hasps: just over 2.25 x 5/8″
Drop from top of hook: 3 7/8″
A note about the silver. The charms and coins are high grade silver and therefore shine and sparkle through the etching and patina. The photographer came woefully short of conveying the true beauty and nature of these gems.
