Early 20th century, Berber, Tiznit, Southern Morocco
The people of the Tiznit region are know for their fine work in enamel. Red glass is often placed at the center of a charm to protect against the evil eye, a practice among all the Berber of North Africa. This beauty has a pink glass center, maybe a replacement at some point in time, but no matter. Some of us adore pink!
